How a Pinoy Seaman turned his 5,000 Pesos to…

Can you become a millionaire if you invest in the Stock Market?

The answer is Yes, you can become a millionaire by investing your money in the Stock Market. First, save as much as you can and then learn to compound the savings by investing them in different ways, one of which is the Stock Market. Investing in the Stock Market is legal, it is the only place in the world where you can have unlimited potential to gain money any time of the day, even while you are on-board ship or abroad.

But before you can become a Millionaire in the Stock Market you need to first Invest In Yourself and begin the Education Process. Not a lot of Filipinos are trained and educated to be financially wise. The curriculum inside the school is limited this is why only a few understand how to invest wisely. Engr. Arjay Magpantay realized this when he was young. He first thought that purchasing a basic life insurance would guarantee long term benefits however soon found that there are types of life insurance that become useless once you are not able to pay monthly. This is why he began being interested in the Philippine Stock Market. As a seaman he wanted to know how he can best use his hard earned money.

A lot of Pinoys are intimidated when they hear the word ” Stock Market Trader”, they think that stock market trading is too complex this is why he wrote a simple book for Seafarers and OFWs who want to begin understanding how the Stock Market works. Using Different Stock Market Strategies that he has learned he was able to turn his 5,000 pesos to 5 Million Pesos.

Engr. Arjay Magpantay is the Founder of a Multi-Million Start-up Corporation. He is also a business consultant and an Expert Stock Market Investing Adviser. He is the author of the best-selling book: Blue Chips: The Comprehensive Philippine Stock Market Investor’s Guide and ” The Trading Masters: Expert Tips from the Philippine’s Best Stock Traders”.

You can become a millionaire using different stock market techniques but first you should become familiar with the market itself. As a new investor or new trader you need to be willing to get trained. Remember that success and becoming a millionaire using the Stock Market does not happen quickly. You need to train your mind to become disciplined and to use your common sense so you can understand how to buy low and sell high.

There is no shortcut to the learning process, this is why Engr. Arjay Magpantay is advocating proper education of OFWs and fellow Pinoy Seaman. Avoid doing shortcuts because this can lead to losing some of your money in the live market. Before entering the stock market make sure to read, understand and listen to the experts and later on learn how to properly trade.

To become rich in the Stock Market, you need to GET EDUCATED FIRST. Take Beginner seminars and as you go along you would be able to create a trading plan based around a specific style so you can have a higher probability of having a positive financial outcome in the stock market. An average trader who has zero knowledge on stock market trading need to have 3 to 5 years experience at least.

Safe Investment Options for Pinoy Seafarers

If you are a Seafarer you have probably been offered numerous kinds of insurance by different companies. Financial education is not taught inside the school system, this is why not a lot of Filipinos know how to Invest their Money Wisely.

Engr. Arjay Magpantay a Seafarer and the Founder of Azzet Maritime Consultancy Corporation answers this question for his fellow seafarers. Is Life Insurance a Wise form of Investment?

Engr. Arjay Magpantay is the Founder of a Multi-Million Start-up Corporation. He is also a business consultant and an Expert Stock Market Investing Adviser. He is the author of the Best-Selling book Blue Chips: The Comprehensive Philippine Stock Market Investor’s Guide and ” The Trading Masters: Expert Tips from the Philippine’s Best Stock Traders”.
He is also a Certified Investment Solicitor who has helped more than 100 seafarers including their family and loved ones prepare and invest for a better future. If you are a seafarer and you want to invest your money wisely, you want guidance and assistance on understanding the different kinds of investment you can try you can contact Azzet Maritime Consultancy Corporation.

***

According to his experience, his mother bought a type of insurance when he was younger. His mother declared him as a beneficiary of the insurance should something happen to her. Just like every Filipino he thought that the insurance they purchased was a sure way to safeguard their financial future. After all, isn’t that what a lot of Insurance agencies are saying in the advertisements? A lot of Insurance Companies would claim that the insurance policies that they are offering will benefit families in the long run. However, most of them fail to explain the rules and the downside of certain life investment products to clients.

Insurance is a good form of investment but only if the terms are understood by the buyer. There are certain kinds of investment that won’t match the needs of a particular person. A lot of insurance types in the Philippines require you to pay monthly and for several years before you can benefit from it. Once you fail to pay you immediately forfeit any right you have.

Despite his mother purchasing an insurance, the moment she failed to pay due to financial difficulties the Insurance lapsed. All of the hard earned money and contributions she worked so hard for was gone in an instant. The Insurance policy that was supposed to give them financial stability and comfort later on however due to lack of understanding it proved to be useless. Before you purchase any kind of insurance make sure to understand the terms and conditions first.

It is also a known fact that insurance takes a long time before it could become financially rewarding this is why Engr. Arjay Magpantay is convinced that Filipino Seafarers should learn about how to invest in Mutual Funds instead.

What is a Mutual Fund?

Investing in Mutual funds is as simple as opening a savings account in the bank and it is easier compared with trading money in the Stock Market. When you want to invest in a mutual fund in the Philippines, you will be required to open an account with a mutual fund company, or in a stock brokerage firm. After registering an account, you have to choose which type of mutual fund you like to put your money in whether in money market, bonds, balanced or stock funds. The choices are less risky than if you directly trade in the Stock Market. With a minimum investment of only 1,000 Pesos you can already begin. Compared with saving your money in the bank, investing in mutual funds will have better growth potential for long term horizon. It is easy to open a Mutual fund account, all you have to do is to find a Certified Investment Solicitor and submit the requirements and do an initial deposit.

Some of the Best Mutual Funds in the Philippines include:

Philam Asset Management Inc.

Philequity Management Inc.

First Metro Asset Management Inc.

ALFM Mutual Funds,

ATRAM Trust Corporation,

Soldivo Funds and

Sun Life Asset Management

Personal Accident Life Insurance for Seafarers:

He also believes that before investing, Seafarers should get a Personal Accident Insurance Instead. It would be best to learn different types of investment, to take the time to do proper consultation and ask those who have already experienced it. Do not put all of your money into one investment type, it would be best to explore as many options as possible by diversification.
Azzet Maritime Consultancy Corporation apart from educating and training Seafarers on Electrical Maritime Courses is also offering Seminars About Investments for Seafarers. If you want to meet your fellow seafarers and ask for expert advise when it comes to your next investment you can reserve your slot and meet Financial Experts who can guide you. Peso Corporate bonds are medium to long-term investments that are issued by SEC Registered Philippine corporations. Bonds earn a fixed rate and have higher interest rates compared with government securities, it is also tradable in the open market. 4. Invest in Mutual Funds

One of the best investments you can try in the Philippine is Mutual Funds. You can put your money in Mutual Funds as part of diversifying your portfolio of bonds and stocks using a single transaction. 5. Blogging or Website Flipping

Websites make money online. One example that we can disclose publicly is the website kali-alaia-lightworker.com. IMARK Philippines started optimizing and monitoring this website in May 2017 with no ranking on Alexa and with zero earnings in Google AdSense. It’s just half a year of managing its on-page and off-page SEO on a daily basis, but the website is now valued at approximately ₱500,000 in the international marketplace for domains and websites. It’s just half a year, and the site now ranks on top 8,000,000 globally and on top 100,000 in the Philippines. In addition, it’s earning an undisclosed amount of dollars in AdSense, amount too high and more than enough to pay the website’s annual maintenance fee over the next 10 years.

6. Life Insurance with Investment

There are different types of insurance from car or house to life insurance. Pinoy Seafarers should try looking into Variable Universal Life Insurance or VUL. VUL is a form of cash value life insurance that includes a death benefit as a form of investment feature. You can use the premium that it has accumulated for financial emergencies, this is very ideal for families of Pinoy seafarers.

7. Real Estate Rental

You can also try real estate investment for foreclosed properties in the Philippines. The minimum investment is 15,000 pesos. You can also search for installment houses with cheap mortgages as well as condominiums that you can purchase and rent out later on. Search for foreclosed properties so you can get the place cheaper or get better deals to check websites like Lamudi.com

8. Become an Angel Investor

If you are more adventurous you can try becoming an Angel Investor. For the amount of 50,000 Pesos, you can already support a start-up business. If you do not have millions to invest but you believe in a certain business model like a delivery app, you can find start-up businesses instead who are inviting investors.

You can become a venture capitalist and invest in companies that could become the next Facebook, the next Uber or the next Airbnb. You might not have the ideas or the employees, but someone can do this for you instead. You will just invest a small amount of money and reap the rewards later on. You do not really need to be super affluent to become an Angel investor, you just need to find the right product and people to trust with your money. For just 50,000 to 100,000 you can already take part in a new business you believe in. Sure, it also has risks, but investing is always a risk, you need to be prepared mentally and accept that it could either be a loss or again, but that it is better than not trying at all. Investing is for the Brave.

Stock Market Made Easy for Pinoy Seafarers

How Does the Stock Market Work?

I am sure you have heard of the word already, however the inner workings of the stock market remain mysterious and elusive to a lot of Filipinos. We don’t have a lot ideas when it comes to the stock market, and we seem to believe that only the people in big business circles know how the stock market works. To simplify, the Stock market is a game of chance, only the big difference is that you are given informed choices. The stock market is the biggest marketplace in the world. It is where people buy and sell stuff, but instead of selling food or clothes as well as bag, people trade money and stocks that represent different companies.

What is a Stock?

A stock is a form of security that that pertains to the ownership in a corporation. It is a claim on part of a certain corporation’s assets as well as its earnings. It could also mean the capital raised by a business or a corporation through the issue and subscription of shares. To simplify, this is a piece of a company.

What is Stock Trading and How Does One Invest?

Stock market investing is owning a piece of the company, not everyone can become Jeff Bezos or Mark Zuckerberg and own a trillion-dollar company but each of us has a chance to become a part of the system and that is by purchasing the stocks of the companies we believe will make money in the future.

In stock trading you begin to earn money when the value of the company stock you purchased goes up. If the price per stock went up compared from the original price purchase, you gain a profit – this is when Price Appreciation occurs. Another way for you to earn is if the company you have a stock on decides to share its earning to the shareholders in the form of dividends. You can receive your income in the form of stocks or cash.

Not everyone can afford to purchase Amazon or Google should they want to, but everyone who enters the stock market can have a piece of the pie. Once you purchase the stocks of Amazon for example, you can receive a virtual certificate to certify that you are indeed the owner of a particular stock. For example, if the company has 10 million shares you can have the 1 million shares, it means you own 10% of the Amazon company.

Why are these Big Companies Selling Shares?

Even the most successful companies in the world will require additional funding for projects that they have in mind. Selling shares is a way for them to bring in additional capital to business expansions. They can use it for research and development, products, to improve their factories or to pay some of their debts to keep the business running.

How will you benefit if you purchase shares of these companies in the stock market?

The shares you purchased could one day go up in market value, there are some companies that start small and become giants. So in purchasing shares make sure to speculate well, and learn the whereabouts of the company shares you are about to purchase. It is all about supply and demand, while there is no way to predict how companies will perform in the long run, you can still take your chances instead of wasting your money in other pursuits that will not help you earn anything in the long run.

How to Start Investing in the Philippine Stock Market

Investing in the stock market is easy. In fact, any Filipino who has the amount of 5,000 pesos can start trading. In recent years, a lot of online trading platforms has been set up. This means you can trade even while you are on board the ship. Just like any other form of investment, stock market trading is of course not risk-free. This is why it is very important for you to study the basics of stock market trading before you try it yourself. Attending forums, seminars and listening to experts. As well as purchasing ebook guides and other stock market materials are some of the best ways you can learn.

Any kind of investment has risks, there is no such thing as sure money. Understand that you should only invest money that you can afford to lose and you need to understand the risks involved before you trade. You can earn money in the stock market, but you can also lose money if you do not study well. Before you start trading make sure to understand the key concepts first so you can make better decisions. Once you become a trader, you need to stay updated when it comes to the dealings of the world market. You need to watch the news and learn to connect the dots, so you can become better at predicting what company shares you should get.

Two Kinds of Stock Broker

To invest you will need a broker, it could either be a traditional stock market broker or an online broker.

A traditional broker is licensed and permitted by the law to transact for you. You can select among the premium and finest stock market brokers in the Philippines. Traditional brokers can handle your account and do important decisions for you, they can also offer you advise when it comes to the stock market. You can contact a traditional broker by telephone or via social media.

Another kind of broker is the Online Broker. You can already open a stock trading account with an online broker. You need to visit their website and register through an online form. Fill it out, and wait for the request to be approved, after getting approved, you can start funding your account using the payment portal they approve of. The online broker portal will already give you the steps on what to do next. Once your account has been funded, you can begin trading and you can now buy your first couple of stocks. There is a list of top online stockbrokers in the Philippines like COL Financial, First Metro Securities, BDO Nomura, BPI Trade and Philstocks.

Most of these online trading platforms give members streaming data and live charting, 24/7 access and mobile device access. These trading platforms will ask for a commission fee from the members. The minimum investment for these stock market trading platforms is 5,000 for an entry-level account. While Premier investors will usually invest 1 million or more. There are also other guide stock market trading platforms like Investagrams that offer charts, newsfeed, disclosures, screeners and social media feed guide to help you decide to invest.

Still Confused?

It is normal to feel confused at first, after all the stock market world has a lot of topics you need to understand first. A lot of seafarers are able to save a good amount of money but after going home they tend to squander the money around because they don’t know where should they invest their hard earned money. If you want to be wise and put your money in a place where it has a chance to grow then you should begin studying about the Stock market industry.

Azzet Maritime Consultancy Corporation

Engr. Arjay Magpantay the Founder of Azzet Maritime Consultancy Corporation is also a seafarer. He once asked the question of how he can make proper use and care of his money. He encountered people from the stock market who trained him how to be an expert trader and now he wants to teach fellow Filipino seafarers how to make their money grow through Stock Market Investments.

The Philippine Stock Market is another way for Pinoy Seafarers to earn additional income. In his seminars he usually discusses the important aspects of why seafarers and their families should invest in the Philippine Stock Market. If done correctly your stock market investment can give you a good Retirement Income and an enjoyable life with your family once you stop working on board ship.

G:\KUYA\101\IMG_5352.jpg

Stock market is the best investment so far for seafarers who wants to grow their money passively and it can work 24/7 if you want to.
